I want to ask why Yoruba men like to marry Igbo women? Is it that Yoruba women are not beautiful enough?

Nitori wipe ko daju pe Yoruba niyin, nwo fi ede Geesi da yin lohun.

People always assume that majority of Yoruba boys or men like to marry Igbo women but that is so untrue.
1. If any Yoruba man marries an Igbo woman, it is because she is human like Efik, Tiv and other women.

2. There is actually nothing an Igbo woman can offer that a Yoruba woman or any other woman cannot offer.

3. The number of Yoruba men who have married Igbo women is still below 5% of our total population. Personally of all the weddings I have attended/invited to none was an Igbo bride. People who go to weddings a lot can count the number of Igbo brides in these weddings compared to Yoruba/Yoruba. In my family, no none of the men is married to an Igbo woman and there are so many families like that which outnumber the few who have intermarried.

Therefore it is a fallacy to say that Yoruba men marry Igbo women as if it is rampant.
Finally, for those few Yoruba men who married Igbo women, they did it because they loved the woman for who she is and not for the tribe she comes from. Love knows no tribe and only myopic people dwell on tribe before they get married.
